This question is not really about whether you read blogs or follow influencers. It tests judgment: how you scan the landscape, prioritize what matters, separate signal from noise, and translate external learning into practical decisions. Interviewers also want to see ownership and leadership — especially whether you can influence adoption, mentor others, and connect technical trends to business value rather than novelty.
A strong answer usually shows a real situation where there was ambiguity about whether a new approach was worth investing in. It should make clear how you evaluated the trend, what trade-offs you considered, how you brought others along, and what happened afterward.
Good answers are specific, grounded, and outcome-oriented. Use one concrete example, structure it in STAR format, quantify the impact where possible, and include a lesson about how your approach to learning or technology adoption evolved.
