Project Background
You are the program manager supporting hiring for a critical Product Manager opening on the Facebook Feed team. The hiring committee has approved a final round loop with 5 interviewers across Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Cross-Functional Leadership. The candidate is strong, has competing offers, and the hiring director wants the full loop completed and debriefed within 10 calendar days.
The interview process is partially standardized, but this loop needs tighter execution because two interviewers are in Menlo Park, one is in New York, and two are in London. The recruiting coordinator can help with scheduling, but you are responsible for the end-to-end execution plan, interviewer alignment, risk management, and final readiness review.
Key Stakeholders
The Hiring Manager wants fast closure and a high-quality signal. Recruiting wants a smooth candidate experience and no reschedules. Interviewers want clear roles, calibrated rubrics, and minimal prep overhead. The HR Business Partner wants process compliance and complete feedback within 24 hours of the loop.
Constraints
- Timeline: 10 calendar days from today
- Budget: No travel approved; all interviews must run on Workplace/Zoom equivalent internal setup
- Team: 1 recruiter, 1 recruiting coordinator, 5 interviewers, 1 hiring manager
- Dependencies: interviewer availability, scorecard alignment, candidate time zone constraints, and debrief scheduling
- SLA: 100% of feedback submitted within 24 hours of each interview
Complications
- One senior interviewer has already blocked only one 45-minute slot in the next 8 days.
- The hiring manager wants to add a sixth interviewer for "extra confidence," but that may delay scheduling and create redundant signal.
- The candidate has asked to consolidate interviews into no more than 2 days because they are currently employed.
Your Task
- Build a 10-day execution plan for preparing and running the final round loop.
- Define how you will align interviewers on roles, rubrics, and decision criteria.
- Propose trade-offs on interviewer count, schedule design, and candidate experience.
- Identify the top risks to loop completion and your mitigation plan.
- Define success metrics for loop readiness, execution quality, and decision turnaround.
