RideNow, a two-sided ride-hailing marketplace, launched a new rider acquisition feature: first-time visitors now see an instant fare estimate and a simplified signup flow before requesting their first ride. The Growth PM wants to know whether the feature is working before weekly revenue and 30-day rider LTV move.
In the two weeks before launch, RideNow averaged 1.2M weekly app visitors, 180K account signups, 72K first ride requests, 54K completed first rides, and $1.35M in first-30-day gross bookings from new riders. In the first 5 days after launch, traffic is flat, but the PM reports that signup completion rose from 15.0% to 17.2%, first ride request rate among new signups rose from 40% to 43%, and completed first rides rose from 30% to 33% of signups. Revenue has not moved yet because most new-rider value is realized over several weeks.
