1. What is a QA Engineer at Acara Solutions?
As a QA Engineer (often titled Test Engineer or ATE Engineer) recruited through Acara Solutions, you are stepping into a critical role that bridges the gap between design and manufacturing. Acara partners with top-tier clients in the Aerospace, Defense, and Semiconductor industries. Consequently, this role is rarely about simple software bug tracking; it is about ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of complex hardware systems, RF SoCs (System-on-Chip), and high-voltage power circuits.
In this position, you are the gatekeeper of quality. You will design and implement automated test solutions, develop hardware interfaces (like load boards and probe cards), and write the software that drives these tests. Whether you are working on RF connectivity for Wi-Fi products in San Diego or high-voltage circuits in Fort Collins, your work directly impacts product yield, manufacturing costs, and mission-critical functionality.
This role offers a unique vantage point. You will collaborate closely with Design and Design-for-Test (DFT) teams to define test plans early in the product lifecycle. You are not just finding defects; you are engineering the systems that certify products for mass production or deployment in defense environments. It is a role that requires a blend of hardware intuition, software proficiency, and a rigorous analytical mindset.
